OCALA, Fla., (December 3, 2009) – As part of its mission to enhance the lives of the students it serves, Rasmussen College took 33 students from the Delta Epsilon Chi Association (DECA) at its Ocala campus to the world-renowned “Get Motivated” business seminar on Tuesday, November 10. Featuring a line-up of inspirational speakers, including General Colin Powell, Zig Ziglar, Rudy Giuliani, Laura Bush, Terry Bradshaw, Lou Holtz, Dr. Robert Schuller and Tamara Lowe, the event was a unique learning experience for marketing students participating in the college’s DECA program.

“Rasmussen College is happy to offer students additional learning experiences that extend beyond the traditional scope presented by most other advanced education providers,” said Richard Velez Perrone, Rasmussen Program Coordinator, Rasmussen College Ocala campus, School of Business.

Developed more than 25 years ago, “Get Motivated” seminars aim to provide a wide range of corporate leaders, Fortune 500 companies, educators, business owners, salespeople and other professionals the strategies to help sharpen their business skills and increase their income. Pyrotechnics, live music and special effects accompany a star-studded collection of motivational speakers.

Velez Perrone added, “Students that attended the “Get Motivated” program found much value in the inspiring words of speakers as they encouraged and described the characteristics of leadership and success; qualities which will benefit our students long after they graduate from Rasmussen College.”
