August Is Disability Awareness Month; Educational Opportunities Available

BROOKLYN PARK (Minn.)—Beginning August 17, Rasmussen College Brooklyn Park will kick off a series of campus events designed to provide education and support about various disabilities and community resources.

During the month of August, students and community members will have access to interactive educational materials related to behavioral, learning and physical disabilities. On Monday, August 17, Kathie Stevensen, RCP, will lead a discussion entitled, “Cerebral Palsy: Causes, Prevention, and Current Trends in Treatment”. Community members are invited to attend.

“Our goal is to educate the community about various kinds of disabilities and the available community resources,” Campus Director Dwayne Bertotto said. “We look forward to serving our community through this initiative.”
