Fargo Teacher and Writer Invited to Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference

Fargo (ND) — Local Fargo college teacher and writer, Rob Nuetenboom, has been invited to attend the distinguished Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference this August.
Rasmussen College Mentor Center Coordinator Nuetenboom received an invitation to participate in the 2008 Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference.
The conference is held August 13-24 and will focus on writing workshops in fiction, poetry, and nonfiction. This year, the conference was able to except 17 percent of those who applied. Nuetenboom was one of those few.
"We are very proud to have Rob attend the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference," said Fargo Campus Academic Dean, Tim Loatman. "Rob has truly made an impact on our students with his superb writing abilities."
Aside from his duties as the Mentor Center Coordinator, Nuetenboom is an adjunct instructor teaching English Composition and Creative Writing. Nuetenboom was accepted to attend the conference after submitting a creative fiction piece.
"It is great to have Rob represent Rasmussen College at the conference," said Vice President of Academic Affairs, John Woods. "He is a great role model for our students, as he continues to gain knowledge by attending conferences like this one and truly trying to master his craft."
The conference is held at Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vermont. Faculty will give lectures on writing issues and have one-hour classes on specific aspects of writing. Along with college faculty; magazine editors, publicists, grant specialists, and other guests will offer a wide range of presentations on topics related to publishing.
