Rasmussen College Raises $16 Thousand For the American Cancer Society

National — Rasmussen College, its students, and its communities have banded together to raise more than $16 thousand to be donated to the American Cancer Society.
Several of the fifteen campuses of Rasmussen College have been raising money for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life annually for the past few years, but this year is the first year that all of the campuses and offices have worked together to raise money together.
Through numerous fundraising events on campus and off campus, the campuses and offices of Rasmussen were able to make this significant donation.
One popular event that all campuses and offices participated in was the "Paint the Campus Purple" event. Here, students, staff, and faculty worked together to inform and educate the public about the importance of cancer research and all that the American Cancer Society does while collecting money for the cause.
"We are proud of the work we were able to do as a strong, unified community," President of Rasmussen College Kristi Waite said. "We look forward to supporting future efforts in the fight against cancer and to raising even more money next year."
