Chicago (Ill.) — Benedictine University and Rasmussen College have partnered together to offer a Bachelor's-to-M.B.A. program that will allow students to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Rasmussen College and a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) online from Benedictine University in as little as five years.

According to a November 2008 article in Business Week, M.B.A.s are continuing to see an increase in salaries and are making an average of $104,000, an increase of 9 percent, despite the poor economy.

"Benedictine University is excited to partner with Rasmussen to provide students an opportunity to achieve their educational and career goals in an accelerated format," said Tanesha Pittman, Executive Director of the Margaret and Harold College of Adult and Professional Studies at Benedictine University. "This program reflects Rasmussen College's and Benedictine University's commitment to quality programs that serve working professionals."

Undergraduate courses may be taken online or at any of the 16 Rasmussen College campuses in the Midwest or Southeast. Graduate courses in the Benedictine M.B.A. program are offered completely online.

Rasmussen College School of Business Director Kathy Heldman recently announced the new partnership.

"It is extremely gratifying to know that our business students will benefit from the prestige and excellence that the Benedictine University online M.B.A. program stands for," Heldman said. "Holding an M.B.A. is a significant accomplishment for any business professional, and our students have the opportunity to earn it in one year. They can go directly from the Rasmussen College program to the Benedictine program, and it will be a smooth transition."

Benedictine University is a top Midwest education provider, and it shares Rasmussen's commitment to life-long learning and diversity.

Benedictine is ranked as a Top School in the Midwest (seventh in Illinois) for Master's Universities, a Best Value (second in Illinois), 11th in the Midwest (and sixth in Illinois) for Racial Diversity, and as a Top Campus with the Most International Students (fifth in Illinois) for 2009 by U.S. News & World Report.

Rasmussen College is a private, regionally accredited college that offers career-focused bachelor's and associate's degrees online and through its network of campuses in Florida, Illinois, Minnesota, North Dakota and Wisconsin.
