Rasmussen College Introduces Issue-Focused Lecture Series

Last month was the inaugural edition of the Rasmussen College Lecture Series, a monthly event held across the country on Rasmussen College campuses in which the community is invited to join Rasmussen College students, staff, and faculty to discuss relevant issues and current events affecting communities.
In April, the Lecture Series was sponsored by the Rasmussen College School of Business. Across 15 Rasmussen College campuses, featured speakers led campus discussions on "Navigating a Turbulent Economy."
The following are just a few of the distinguished professionals who were invited to speak at the lecture series:
- Aurora, Ill.-Sherman L. Jenkins, Executive Director Aurora Economic Development Commission
- Bismarck, N. Dak.-Sheila Peterson, Director of Fiscal Management for the State of North Dakota
- Fargo, N. Dak.-Brian Walters, President of the Greater Fargo/Moorhead Economic Development Corporation
- St. Cloud, Minn.-Mayor of the City of St. Cloud
- Eden Prairie, Minn.-Edward L. Cussler, Distinguished Institute Professor at the University of Minnesota
- Ft. Myers, Fla.-James I. Wall , Business Development Director at the Southwest Florida Workforce Development Board, Inc.
- Green Bay, Wis.-Tom Servais, CPA Brown County Mental Health Center
The May Lecture Series will be hosted by the Rasmussen College School of Justice Studies, and the topic will focus on community oriented policing. Each campus will feature a unique speaker.
The Lecture Series is free and open to the community.
