Minneapolis (Minn.) — The second largest company-owned gourmet coffeehouse operator, Caribou Coffee Company, Inc. (www.CaribouCoffee.com), is partnering with the Minnesota-native Rasmussen College (www.Rasmussen.edu) in the Employee Success Partnership.

With almost 500 Company-owned locations and more than 6,000 employees, Caribou Coffee is taking stock in its employees' education by partnering with Rasmussen College. Under the Employee Success Partnership, any employee of Caribou Coffee will receive an application fee waiver and a 10 percent discount on tuition if they attend Rasmussen College.

Karen McBride, Vice President of Human Resources for Caribou Coffee was integral in creating the partnership.

"Caribou Coffee is committed to offering a variety of ways for our team members to learn and grow," McBride said. "We are very excited about our new partnership with Rasmussen College as it gives us another opportunity to foster our culture of learning."

Rasmussen College is a private, regionally accredited college. Through its network of 16 campuses and its partnerships with universities around the country, Caribou Coffee employees can earn a Master's, Bachelor's, Associate's or certificate. Plus, employees with busy schedules or who work in locations far from a Rasmussen College campus can benefit from the online programs that Rasmussen College offers.

Recently, Rasmussen College announced a five year Bachelor-to-MBA program. This would enable students, including Caribou Coffee employees, to complete a Bachelor of Science from Rasmussen College and a Master of Business Administration from Benedictine University online in as little as five years.

"Partnering with a community and business leader like Caribou Coffee Company is an exciting and significant accomplishment for Rasmussen College," Director of Corporate Development Stephen Brown said. "This demonstrates the commitment that Caribou Coffee has to its employees' success, and Rasmussen College is looking forward to delivering the outstanding educational experience that we are known for."
