Minneapolis (MN) — Minnesota Twins fans will see a new face at the Metrodome this year. Rasmussen College is joining the team as one of the 2008 sponsors.

Rasmussen College, a Minnesota-born institution with seven campuses in Minnesota and six others throughout the Midwest and Southeast, has more than a 100 year history and will be sponsoring Wednesday Twins games for the first time.

Any high school or college student with a school I.D. is able to attend the home games at a discounted price on Wednesdays during Rasmussen College Student Nights. Originally $7, students will be admitted to Wednesday home games for only $4.

Minnesota Twins Vice President of Marketing, Patrick Klinger, is excited about the Rasmussen College Student Nights.

"Students bring excitement, enthusiasm and energy to the stadium," Klinger said. "That’s why all of us in the Twins organization, including our players, look forward to Rasmussen College Student Nights on Wednesdays. The Minnesota Twins are delighted to partner with Rasmussen College so that we can continue to offer students the opportunity to attend a big league baseball game inexpensively."

The first student night is on April 2 at 7:10 pm against the Los Angeles Angels.

Rasmussen College President Kristi Waite commented on the new partnership with the Twins.

"Our roots in Minnesota are strong, and we are extremely happy to be able to sponsor the Twins — a main staple in Minnesota," Waite said. "Giving students in our area the opportunity to attend games at a discount price is just one thing that we can do to support our community and promote education."
