OCALA ( Fla.) — In the face of budget cuts, Marion County Senior Services is hoping that a garage sale hosted by Rasmussen College will help the agency raise money to continue its supportive services for elderly, disabled, and disadvantaged citizens of Marion County, Fla.
Rasmussen College is hosting the garage sale on Saturday, February 21 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at its campus located at 2221 SW 19 th Ave. Road in Ocala as a part of the United Way Day of Caring.
Marion County Senior Services is a non-profit, charitable social agency that helps its clients maintain their independent status by providing transportation, nutrition, and in-home support.
The Marion County United Way Day of Caring is in its sixteenth year. The Day of Caring is a way for the community to get involved with local non-profit social service agencies to provide help, fundraising support, and other support.
