Rockford ( Ill.) — There seems to be good news in the job market for people with four year degrees, and colleges are responding to this demand by offering accelerated Bachelor degree options.
Management, scientific and technical consulting services is projected to be one of the fastest growing industries over the next decade, with an expected growth of 78 percent according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Approximately 74 percent of workers in this industry have a bachelor’s degree or higher, and many entry level positions are requiring at least a bachelor’s degree.
In order to meet this growing demand, colleges are developing accelerated business management bachelor’s degree programs that allow students to finish their degree in as little as 18 months. Rasmussen College is one of these institutions.
“We know that many individuals are looking to obtain a bachelor’s degree, but are trying to balance work and family life at the same time,” School of Business Director at Rasmussen College Kathy Heldman said. “The Accelerated Bachelor’s degree program in Business Administration or Business Management at Rasmussen College gives students the flexibility to take courses in the evening with other working professionals so that they do not have to interrupt their day. This program is great for individuals looking to further careers.”
The Accelerated Bachelor’s Degree programs in Business Administration and Business Management at Rasmussen College can be completed in 18 months. Courses are completed in five week intervals, and are available in the evening, on weekends, and online. Students must have earned a Business Associate’s degree to begin the program.
“In today’s economy, the workforce is constantly changing and we need to make sure that we are educating individuals to meet these changes,” said Heldman. “It is our responsibility as a college to educate students to be successful in their careers. Developing new programs that offer accelerated degrees is a way to do that.”
The Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or Business Administration is part of the School of Business at Rasmussen College. The Business Administration program is available at the Ocala and Pasco County campuses in Fla. The Business Management program is available at the Bismarck, N. Dak. campus and the St. Cloud and Mankato campuses in Minn.
